Administrative Section
Mission
Enhancing the quality of services rendered and to promote skilled human resource
development and trustworthiness.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the formulation of Human Resource Policy and Planning, and General
Administration.
- Secretariat of the Human Resource Committee of the Ministry of Finance (including
trainings and attachments ).
- Membership of the Human Resource Committe of the Ministry of Finance comprises of the
Chairman, Senior Administrative Officer, Director of Budget Section, Assistant Director of
Special Duties, and the Secretary of the State Tenders Board.
- Officers and Personnel Affairs covering Promotion, Welfare and General Administration
(including financial officers seconded to other departments).
- Membership of the Pensions and Gratuity Advisory Committee : Chairman : Minister of
Finance; Members : Deputy Minister of Finance, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of
Finance, Director of Financial Services, Director-General of Public Service and
Auditor-General.
- Secretariat of the Pensions And Gratuity Advisory Committee.
- Secretariat of the Write-Off Advisory Committee of Government Property
- Membership of the Write-Off Advisory Committee of Government Property : (Chairman : the
Minister of Finance; Members : Deputy Minister of Finance, Permanent Secretary of the
Ministry of Finance, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Permanent Secretary
of the Ministry of Development, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Communication,
Director of Financial Services and Auditor-General).
- Public Relations Affairs.
This Section is under the supervision of a Senior Adminstrative Officer and assisted by
a Special Grade Adminsitrative Officer.
Presently, this Section comprises of 39 officers and personnel ( Permanent Establishment
and Open Vote ), and 9 vacant posts.
