Customs Matters
The day to day operations of customs are handled by the Royal and Customs Excise Department.
However customs
policy in particular policy relating to exemption of duties, setting up of new tariffs,
amendment of old tariffs and relationships with international organisations such as APEC or ASEAN
are handled by the Revenue and International Organisations Division.
The Ministry works
very closely with the Ministry of Industry and
Primary Resources in easing duties for the flow of trade.
