Procedure for the Disposal of Government Property

  1. If approval for disposal is given by way of auction or open tender, the relevant Ministry or Department will carry put the auction and open tender.

  2. If approval for disposal is by way of dumping at the Government Scrapyard, the relevant Ministry or Department should seek permission from the Director-General of Public Works

  3. If approval for disposal is given by way of burning, dismantling and destroying, dumping or burying, the dumping ground is at the Government rubbish dump in Sg. Akar or the dumping site of relevant districts.

  4. If approval for disposal is given by way of sea dumping, approval should be sought from the Marine Department as to the site suitable for dumping.

The Verification Certificate of Disposal will be issued by the Standing Board of Survey and should be completed by the relevant Ministry or Department and a copy fowarded to the Ministry of Finance. For auctions carried out, receipts of auctions should be attached to verify the auctions.
