CURRENCY NOTES AND COINS IN
CIRCULATION
Since the issueance of its own currency,
Brunei Currency Board has been engaging well-established overseas Printers and Mints in
the production of the Brunei notes and coins.
As at 31st December 2001, the total
currency in circulation stood at B$648,333,529.55 which comprised of
B$623,448,280.00 in notes and
B$24,885,248.55 in coins.
In the case of discovery or possession of
any mutilated Brunei notes and coins, the public may present them to Brunei Currency Board
during office hours for assessment of value and exchange.
